On Sunday evening, Virat Kohli fell short of a century — but not love. The cricketer’s sensational knock of 95 runs in 104 balls was met with cheers and applause, but perhaps the most special one coming for his actor wife Anushka Sharma.
Indian cricket team face New Zealand as part of the ongoing World Cup, where Virat Kohli emerged as the highest run scorer for the team as it chased the target of 274 with four wickets in hand.
Even as fans of the cricketer were heartbroken that he couldn’t hit a century, Anushka Sharma was thrilled and poured her love on Instagram. The actor first shared a picture featuring Virat Kohli which read “India win by 4 wickets” and posted a heart emoji.
She then shared a reel which showed Kohli getting out just five runs before his century and wrote, “Always proud of you”. In another story appreciating his special knock, Anushka called Virat, “Storm chaser”.
